Our Services
At Atlanta Counseling and Psychotherapy, we provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your unique goals, experiences, and relationships. Whether you're seeking support as an individual, working to strengthen your relationship, or looking to grow alongside others in a therapeutic group, our goal is to create a space where meaningful change can occur.
We believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, personalized, and grounded in both clinical expertise and genuine human connection.

Life can be challenging in ways that aren't always visible to others. You may feel overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, navigating the effects of trauma, struggling in relationships, or simply feeling disconnected from the life you want to live. Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand these experiences and develop new ways of responding to them.
Individual psychotherapy provides a confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships with the support of a skilled therapist. Together, we'll work to identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, clarify your goals, and develop practical strategies for lasting change.
Our clinicians tailor treatment to your individual needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and other research-supported methods.
Individual therapy may help with:
Anxiety and chronic stress
Depression and mood disorders
Trauma and PTSD
Personality disorders
Emotional regulation
Relationship difficulties
Grief and loss
Life transitions
Self-esteem and identity concerns
Burnout and work-related stress
Whether you're facing a specific challenge or seeking greater self-understanding, therapy can help you move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Every relationship experiences periods of conflict, distance, or change. Couples counseling provides a structured, supportive environment where both partners can better understand one another, improve communication, and work toward a healthier relationship.
Rather than assigning blame, therapy focuses on identifying the patterns that create conflict and helping couples develop new ways of connecting. Together, we'll explore each partner's needs, strengthen emotional understanding, and build practical skills for navigating disagreements, rebuilding trust, and fostering greater intimacy.
Couples seek therapy for many reasons, including:
Communication difficulties
Frequent conflict or recurring arguments
Rebuilding trust after betrayal
Life transitions and major decisions
Parenting challenges
Emotional disconnection
Premarital counseling
Strengthening an already healthy relationship
Our goal is to help couples create relationships characterized by greater understanding, emotional safety, and resilience.

Healing often happens in connection with others. Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to learn new skills, receive support, and recognize that you are not alone in your experiences.
Led by a licensed therapist, groups provide a safe, confidential environment where members can share experiences, practice new ways of relating, and gain insight through the perspectives of others. Many people find that hearing similar struggles reflected by others reduces shame while increasing confidence and hope.
Depending on current offerings, groups may focus on topics such as:
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
Emotional regulation
Interpersonal effectiveness
Mindfulness
Trauma recovery
Anxiety management
Process-oriented interpersonal groups
Group therapy can be an effective standalone treatment or a valuable complement to individual therapy, providing additional opportunities for growth, accountability, and meaningful connection.
Current Group Offerings
DBT Group Therapy (In-Person)
Mondays 5-6:30PM
Our in-person DBT Skills Groups provide a structured, supportive environment to learn practical skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, tolerating distress, and developing greater mindfulness. Through weekly instruction, discussion, and practice, participants build tools that can be applied to everyday life while benefiting from the encouragement and accountability of a group setting.
DBT Group Therapy (Virtual, Online)
Tuesdays 12-1PM
Our virtual DBT Skills Groups offer the same evidence-based curriculum as our in-person groups with the convenience of attending from home. Through secure online sessions, participants learn core DBT skills including mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness in an interactive, supportive environment designed to foster growth, connection, and lasting change.
Interpersonal Process Group
Time and Day TBD!
Our Emotion-Focused Interpersonal Process Groups provide a unique opportunity to explore the ways you experience emotions and relate to others in real time. Rather than focusing primarily on education or skill-building, these groups emphasize authentic interaction between members, helping participants develop greater emotional awareness, strengthen relationships, and recognize long-standing interpersonal patterns. Through honest feedback, meaningful connection, and guided exploration, members often discover new ways of understanding themselves and relating more effectively to others.
